Entik arrested in Dubai; Greek and Cypriot police seek details

The individual known as ‘Entik’, described as the head of a so‑called Russian‑Ukrainian mafia, was taken into custody by authorities in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The arrest followed an international red‑notice and cooperation with Greek investigative services; Greek and Cypriot police have said they are awaiting official confirmation.

Entik is wanted on a European arrest warrant for participation in an organised crime group, alleged contract killings and large‑scale smuggling of counterfeit tobacco products. The criminal network is said to have employed more than 150 suspects, with 47 already arrested in a prior operation and 106 still at large at that time.
