Indonesia bans Dutch organizers of Entourage Run over discrimination

Indonesia's Directorate General of Immigration placed two Dutch nationals, identified as JAS (35) and HQV (37), on a re‑entry ban after they were accused of organising the Entourage Run “silent‑disco” event in Canggu, Bali, that allegedly excluded Indonesian citizens. Director General Hendarsam Marantoko said the club operated like a “state within a state” and violated immigration rules that prohibit foreign nationals from organising events without appropriate permits.

The pair left Indonesia for Singapore via KLM and have been blacklisted. Authorities have ordered an audit of the event’s sponsors, summoned the guarantor company PT SIG, and instructed Bali immigration officers to inspect the organisers. Bali Senator Ni Luh Djelantik filed a formal complaint, urging police and immigration to investigate possible illegal activity and the lack of proper event permits. The Entourage Bali community has paused its runs while it reviews membership procedures and acknowledges the public backlash over the discrimination claims.
