Entre Rios do Oeste presents sewage treatment project to Itaipu

Leaders from Entre Rios do Oeste met with representatives from Itaipu Binacional in Foz do Iguaçu to present a municipal sewage treatment system project. During the meeting, Itaipu's technical team committed to assisting the municipality in finalizing the project.

The sanitation project is designed exclusively for the urban area, which currently has approximately 1,700 domestic water connections. The total estimated cost for the project, from inception to completion, is approximately R$ 30 million. The initial timeline for execution is set for five years.

This initiative aims to bring the municipality into compliance with national sanitation guidelines, specifically Law No. 14,026 of June 30, 2020, which emphasizes the universalization of sanitation services by 2033. The project is intended to improve public health and local infrastructure.
