Argentina expands provincial financial aid and declares agricultural emergency

Cabinet chief Diego Santilli met with governors of Santa Fe, San Luis, Catamarca, and others, announcing a boost to provincial pension fund transfers under decree DNU 594 that raised ANSES payments to $409.3 billion and reinforced other budget lines.

The government of La Pampa province declared a state of agricultural emergency because of severe drought, enabling affected farms to defer tax payments and obtain special financing under provincial law.

Entre Ríos province opened its Financial Relief Plan, which has already received more than 5,500 applications. The scheme offers a 60‑day grace period, a fixed 60 % TNA rate and repayment terms up to 60 months for public and private employees and retirees.

Chaco province confirmed that the “Refrigerio” benefit for active public‑sector workers will be credited on 22 July through the Tuya Recargable card, emphasizing transparent fiscal management.

The municipality of Azul in Buenos Aires province will receive provincial funding to pay the remaining 50 % of the June supplemental salary (aguinaldo) to its municipal employees, completing the pending payment.
