Entre Ríos and Conicet sign agreement for geological survey
The government of Entre Ríos and the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (Conicet) have signed an agreement to conduct a comprehensive geological and mining survey within the province. The initiative involves an investment of approximately 189.9 million pesos, funded by the Entre Ríos Mining Fund established under Provincial Law No. 10,158.
This marks the first time these specific provincial funds have been used to finance scientific research aimed at identifying and characterizing mineral raw materials. The study intends to provide rigorous scientific data to identify productive alternatives and attract investment for use in industry, construction, and infrastructure.
Governor Rogelio Frigerio stated that the knowledge built by researchers is a strategic asset for the province, noting that the agreement will deepen the understanding of mineral resources to open new productive development opportunities.
