Entre Ríos announces photography salon selections and avian research updates

The Entre Ríos provincial government has announced the selected works for the 5th Entre Ríos Photography Salon. Organized by the Museo Provincial de la Imagen, the competition saw record participation from various localities across the province. The selected works are divided into color and black-and-white categories. Winners will be notified on September 30, 2026, with the official inauguration and awards ceremony scheduled for October 30.

In scientific news, representatives from the Entre Ríos Directorate of Natural Resources and Inspection participated in the Argentine Ornithology Meeting held at the National University of Mar del Plata. During the event, the book ‘Entre Ríos, Paraíso de las Aves Silvestres’ was presented to promote the region's natural heritage. Additionally, a joint scientific study involving local and international institutions investigated the presence of Salmonella in captive psittacines, such as parrots and macaws. The research yielded negative results for the bacteria in the analyzed samples, providing important data for avian health and conservation efforts.
