Athuel Electrónica to invest US$ 1 million in Río Grande plant reactivation

Athuel Electrónica is investing US$ 1 million to reactivate the former Aires del Sur S.A. industrial plant in Río Grande. The project aims to establish new manufacturing lines focused on climate control systems.

The agreement involves Athuel incorporating the existing facilities, machinery, and equipment. An initial six-month period has been established for the company to manage maintenance, infrastructure conditioning, and operational planning. This initiative is supported by the provincial government and the Metalworkers' Union (UOM).

The reactivation seeks to recover installed productive capacity and provides a potential employment path for former employees of the bankrupt firm, who may be integrated through service contracts.
