Entre Ríos declares itself Argentina's first pet friendly province

The province of Entre Ríos has declared itself Argentina’s first ‘pet friendly’ province, aiming to promote inclusive tourism for travelers with animals. The initiative was presented by the Ente Mixto de Turismo de Entre Ríos (Emturer) at the Feria Internacional de Turismo de América Latina (FIT 2026).

Jorge Satto, president of Emturer, stated that the province intends to eliminate barriers for pet owners by creating an integrated network of services. This network will encompass accommodation, gastronomy, thermal baths, beaches, and natural activities. An initial survey identified over 500 accommodations that already accept pets, with an additional 125 tourism service providers expressing interest in joining the program.

The strategy also includes collaborations with Flechabus to facilitate transportation for families with animals and Iapser to work on coverage proposals for pets traveling to the province.
