Entre Ríos forest brigadiers undergo chainsaw training

The Plan Provincial de Manejo del Fuego, under the Entre Ríos Secretariat of Environment, is conducting specialized training for forest brigadiers on the safe use and maintenance of chainsaws. This training is designed to strengthen technical skills essential for combating forest fires.

The first phase of the program took place at the Concordia Convention Center. Participants include members of the Entre Ríos Environmental Response Brigade, as well as municipal and private forest brigades. The curriculum combines theoretical instruction with practical exercises focused on safe handling, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of equipment.

National instructors are leading the course, with support from Daniel Blanco, the technical coordinator for the National Fire Management Service (SNMF) in the NEA region. Upon completion, brigadiers will receive certification from both the SNMF and the Federal Emergency Agency. The initiative was launched following a request from the Concordia Municipal Civil Protection Brigade.
