Entre Ríos government develops new school feeding system
The Government of Entre Ríos is advancing the design of a new school feeding system intended for implementation in the upcoming academic cycle. The initiative focuses on improving nutritional and logistical standards by combining industrial food products with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
During recent interdisciplinary meetings, the College of Nutritionists of Entre Ríos provided technical feedback on the provider's proposal. Key dietary objectives include reducing total sugars and improving nutritional profiles regarding fiber, macro, and micronutrients.
As part of this process, authorities announced the creation of a permanent advisory council. This body will serve as a technical consultation space, allowing for ongoing participation from academic and professional institutions to support the development of school menus, including planning for the 2027 cycle.
