Entre Ríos government’s 6% salary offer rejected by teachers and state workers, negotiations continue

The provincial government of Entre Ríos presented a 6% salary increase – three percent in July and three percent in September – to the province’s teachers (AGMER) and state‑employee unions (UPCN, ATE). The unions said the offer does not keep pace with inflation, the cost of living or delayed payments, and formally rejected it. AGMER demanded a higher figure, advance of the base‑calculation, clearing of undeclared funds and recovery of inflation since December.

After the rejection, the paritaria moved to a “fourth intermediate” stage, with a new proposal expected by 8 July. The government indicated it would review the unions’ requests and reconvene, while a further meeting with the teaching sector was scheduled for 9 July to formalise any agreement and ensure the June increase is processed. Teachers also announced protests outside the provincial government building.
