Entre Ríos health providers dispute payments with OSER
The Obra Social de Entre Ríos (OSER) and medical professionals in Entre Ríos, Argentina, are engaged in a dispute regarding service payments. Arnoldo Schmidt, OSER's Administration Manager, denied allegations of payment delays for 1,100 home caregivers. Schmidt stated that August payments were completed by September 28 and that processing for September services has begun, noting that caregivers are among the provider groups receiving payments most promptly.
Separately, the Federación Médica de Entre Ríos (FEMER) has voted unanimously to suspend inpatient services starting in November if certain disputed debits are not returned. FEMER claims that unjustified deductions were applied to medical fees for hospitalizations billed during June and July. The federation reported that previous attempts to resolve these discrepancies through meetings with OSER authorities were unsuccessful, and they warned that the lack of reimbursement causes significant economic harm to professionals.
