Entre Ríos hosts congress on comprehensive care for older adults
The Government of Entre Ríos held the II Entre Ríos Congress on Comprehensive Care for Older Persons at the Provincial Convention Center in Paraná. Organized by the Ministry of Human Development through the Directorate of Older Adults, the event served as a forum for training and exchange to strengthen public policies regarding aging.
Vice Governor Alicia Aluani and Human Development Minister Verónica Berisso participated in the opening. Aluani emphasized the need for a new paradigm of “healthy aging” that moves beyond traditional welfare-based approaches, advocating for policies that preserve autonomy, social participation, and decision-making power for seniors. She noted that addressing the rights of older adults is essential for building a more just and human future.
The congress aimed to foster dialogue between state actors and the private sector to address the challenges posed by increased longevity and to implement sustained inclusion and care policies.
