Entre Ríos launches first open public competitions for administration

The government of Entre Ríos has announced its first call for open public competitions to fill administrative positions within the Executive Branch. During a cabinet meeting led by Governor Rogelio Frigerio, Minister of Government and Labor Manuel Troncoso confirmed that the first competition will cover the role of treasurer in the Provincial Executing Unit (UEP).

In addition to the UEP position, six other competitions are projected within the Provincial Council for Children, Adolescents, and Families (Copnaf). The new regulations aim to implement a merit-based system for entry and promotion within the public sector, allowing both current state employees and external applicants to participate. Officials stated the initiative is intended to prioritize training and merit over nepotism to improve state bureaucracy.

Other topics addressed during the cabinet meeting included upcoming collective bargaining negotiations with teaching unions, the status of public works in the province, and preventive health actions regarding addiction in various departments.
