Consejo Federal de Inversiones drives youth, water and forest initiatives across Argentine provinces
The Consejo Federal de Inversiones (CFI) is coordinating several regional programmes in Argentina. In Tierra del Fuego, a first‑day integration session for 19 provincial fellows under the “Gestión para el Desarrollo” scheme brought participants to local firms and highlighted digital transformation, cultural industries and tourism. The same province is launching local sessions of the Mercosur Youth Parliament, with more than 200 students and teachers attending a kickoff in Río Grande to train on artificial intelligence, effective communication and digital legislative tools.
In the north‑central region, governors of Chaco, Santa Fe and Santiago del Estero met in Resistencia for a summit on managing the sub‑meridional river basins and preparing coordinated responses to El Niño, under CFI facilitation. Meanwhile, the forest sector’s national council (CONFIAR) joined a CFI‑led “Roadmap to a Federal Future”, identifying financing, logistics and innovation as priority actions for the country’s bio‑economy.
Separate provincial initiatives include the launch of the 5th Annual Photography Salon in Entre Ríos, organized by the provincial culture secretariat to showcase historic architecture, and the “Proyectar Futuro” vocational guidance program in Río Negro, offering free career counselling to 800 senior secondary students via virtual workshops.
