Entre Ríos launches waste management training for 620 participants
A specialized training course titled ‘Waste Management for Communes, Municipalities, and Rural Areas’ has launched in Entre Ríos, Argentina, with 620 participants enrolled. The initiative is a collaborative effort between the Legislative Training Institute (IFL) and the provincial Secretariat of Environment.
During the official opening at the Senate Chamber, Vice Governor Alicia Aluani emphasized that waste management is a community-wide issue affecting both large cities and small rural towns. She noted that because different territories possess varying resources and equipment, customized tools are necessary to ensure sustainable solutions. The program aims to strengthen the institutional and operational capacities of local governments to design and oversee Integrated Solid Urban Waste Management plans.
