Entre Ríos officials hold III anti‑trafficking congress in Gualeguay

The Ministry of Security and Justice of Entre Ríos and the Provincial Council against Trafficking organized the III Provincial CongressLa Trata Existe” at the Mario Alarcón Muñiz auditorium in Gualeguay. The meeting gathered national and provincial judges, security officials, assistance workers and civil‑society representatives to strengthen prevention, judicial investigation and victim assistance for human trafficking and migrant smuggling.

The opening was led by Justice Secretary Julián Maneiro, Mayor Dora Bogdan and Council coordinator Silvina Calveyra. Maneiro emphasized that “this gathering is not an isolated or merely protocolar act; it represents a central political and ethical definition of our management” and warned that “trafficking is one of the gravest violations of human rights and dignity today.” Bogdan added that “the fight against trafficking admits no distances or different views,” underscoring the need for coordinated state action and comprehensive support for victims.
