Argentina and Mexico unveil multi‑million‑dollar school and health infrastructure upgrades

Provincial and state governments in Argentina and Mexico announced extensive public‑works programmes. In Argentina, the province of San Luis invested more than $719 million to replace the roof of the University Provincial of Trades (UPrO) in Quines, while the Entre Ríos ministry allocated over 40 million pesos to repair the UENI “El Principito” in Chajarí and the city of Paraná began a 32‑million‑peso renovation of school Nº 64 Justo José de Urquiza. In Buenos Aires, historic school Primera Junta will receive structural consolidation and façade restoration.

Mexico’s Baja California government earmarked 543 million pesos for school‑building projects, constructing 105 new classrooms, 39 cafeterias and refurbishing 288 schools. Municipal authorities in Mexicali launched several initiatives: Konecta México will provide free internet to nine fire‑station sites, the CESPM removed 1 280 tonnes of debris from the northern drainage channel, and the municipal welfare agency refurbished the PILARES Misión del Ángel sports‑center.

In Honduras, the health ministry disclosed more than 300 million lempiras in funding to repower the Hospital Escuela in Tegucigalpa and the Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital in San Pedro Sula, with additional €15 million from Austria and France for emergency‑room upgrades. Collectively, these projects aim to improve safety, learning conditions and health services for thousands of residents across the three countries.
