Entre Ríos retirees face mobility payments and pension contribution disputes
Pensioners and retirees in Entre Ríos, Argentina, are facing both new financial adjustments and ongoing disputes regarding mandatory contributions.
The Caja de Jubilaciones y Pensiones de Entre Ríos has announced that on Thursday, October 15, all provincial retirees and pensioners will receive a 3.5% supplementary mobility payment. This payment, governed by Resolution No. 5135/2026 CJPER, will be identified on pay stubs with the specific code ‘5001 – Movilidad’. This is part of a new receipt format implemented since September to distinguish standard earnings from mobility increases.
Simultaneously, police officers and retirees are contesting mandatory contributions to the Círculo de Retirados. Under laws dating back to 1975 and 1980, a percentage of monthly earnings is automatically deducted to fund the Círculo de Retirados de la Policía de Entre Ríos. Fabián Basin of the Asociación Profesional Policía de Entre Ríos (Apropoler) has criticized the practice, describing the mandatory nature of the contribution as unconstitutional and an infringement on their salaries. The Caja de Jubilaciones reports that these monthly deductions total approximately $185 million.
