Entre Ríos Senate seeks national aid to restore LT11 radio

The Senate of Entre Ríos has unanimously approved a project requesting the provincial executive to intervene with the national government to strengthen and recover LT11 Radio General Francisco Ramírez. The initiative, presented by Senator Martín Oliva, seeks to restore the station's capacity for local production and ensure its future viability.

A primary concern is the loss of AM transmission, which has been offline for over two years following the theft of cables and the transmitter. Oliva emphasized that restoring the AM signal is vital for reaching rural areas, islands, and locations where internet or FM signals are unreliable.

The project also addresses labor and content issues, including staff reductions, declining wages, and the replacement of local programming with content produced in Buenos Aires. The goal is to urge the provincial government to coordinate with national authorities and Radio y Televisión Argentina (RTA) to address these technical and operational challenges.
