Entre Ríos signs agreement to promote wood-based housing construction
The Instituto Autárquico de Planeamiento y Vivienda (IAPV) has signed a framework cooperation agreement with forest-industrial chambers to promote the use of wood in provincial housing and public works in Entre Ríos, Argentina.
The agreement was signed during the third Workshop Expo Madera by IAPV President Manuel Schönhals, Faima President Mercedes Omeñuka, and Imfer representative Jorge Rigoni. The strategic alliance aims to progressively incorporate industrialized wood construction systems into provincial housing programs by leveraging the region's forest-industrial productive capacity.
Key areas of cooperation include technical assistance, professional and worker training, research into new technologies, product standardization, and the development of housing prototypes for state public works. The project also seeks to strengthen quality criteria and promote the ‘Madera Entre Ríos’ brand.
