Entre Ríos to hold public hearing for electricity tariff review

The Provincial Energy Regulatory Entity (EPRE) has scheduled a public hearing for October 15 in Villaguay to conduct the fifth quinquennial review of electricity tariffs. This process follows the regulatory framework established by Law No. 8.916. Distributors have been given a deadline of July 31, 2026, to present their revision proposals, with values set in pesos at the rate of December 31, 2025.

In a separate report, the Institute of Economic and Social Research of the Entre Ríos Business Council analyzed energy consumption and costs for the first half of 2026. The data shows that Entre Ríos had a total demand of 328,406 MWh. While total consumption was lower than in Córdoba and Santa Fe, the consumption per inhabitant was approximately 23 MWh, comparable to Córdoba.

Regarding user types in Entre Ríos, industrial consumption grew by 8% year-on-year, commercial consumption fell by 5%, and residential consumption increased by 1%. The report noted that Entre Ríos maintains the lowest electricity rates in the Central Region for residential, commercial, and industrial users, both with and without national subsidies, due to provincial intervention and assistance policies.
