Entrepreneurs face criticism on Die Höhle der Löwen

During an appearance on the investment show ‘Die Höhle der Löwen’, founders Jonathan Vincentz and Lukas Ludwig faced harsh criticism from investors regarding their product, the ‘allpacka One’. The product is a foldable cargo box designed to convert standard bicycles into cargo bikes, offering 30 liters of storage space.

Investors expressed significant concerns over the company’s financial model and operations. Carsten Maschmeyer criticized the high production costs and the retail price of 169 euros, questioning the value proposition for a plastic product. Additionally, the founders revealed they have yet to generate revenue and have not delivered products despite raising 150,000 euros through crowdfunding eighteen months prior.

Judith Williams rejected the founders' valuation of 250,000 euros for a 10 percent stake, calling it ‘astronomical’. The pitch concluded without an investment as the panel raised doubts about the company's ability to fulfill its existing orders.
