Entrepreneurship programs expand in Ceará and Paraíba

Regional initiatives in Brazil are providing training and financial support to small business owners. In Ceará, the Chega Mais Empreendedor project, a partnership between the Secretariat of Labor (SET) and the Centro de Ensino Tecnológico (Centec), has qualified 932 people through entrepreneurship courses. The program offers hybrid classes covering management, finance, and marketing, with a goal of benefiting 1,800 individuals across Fortaleza and its metropolitan region.

In João Pessoa, the Eu Posso program, managed by the Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor (Sedest), is expanding access to social microcredit. The initiative provides low-interest loans, flexible installment plans, and professional training to both formal and informal entrepreneurs. The program aims to help participants expand existing businesses or launch new ventures, with plans for further reformulations to increase credit access by 2027.
