Enugu prepares for Coal City Games 2026 inspection and logo unveiling

The National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Enugu State Government are advancing preparations for the 23rd National Sports Festival, known as the ‘Coal City Games, Enugu 2026’.

A delegation from the Main Organising Committee (MOC), led by NSC Director General and MOC Chairman Hon. Bukola Olopade, is scheduled to arrive in Enugu on August 25, 2026. A comprehensive inspection of sports facilities, training venues, accommodation, transportation, and logistics will take place on August 26 and 27, 2026.

The inspection aims to assess infrastructure readiness and ensure all operational requirements meet the standards necessary for Nigeria’s premier multi-sport event. The program will conclude on August 28, 2026, with the official unveiling of the Coal City Games logo and mascot by the Local Organising Committee (LOC).
