Enugu State engages stakeholders on 25-year development plan

The Enugu State Government has initiated a stakeholder engagement process to develop a 25-year development plan designed to guide the state’s growth and infrastructure through 2051.

Organized by the State Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, the exercise involves a wide range of participants, including traditional and religious leaders, students, farmers, labor unions, academics, and business leaders. The goal is to conduct a needs assessment that allows various sectors to contribute to a long-term blueprint intended to serve successive administrations.

Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning Chris-Roberts Ozongwu stated that the plan aims to ensure continuity beyond the current administration, allowing citizens to take ownership of the state’s developmental priorities.
