Enugu State Government Initiates Land Survey Digitisation and Revalidation
The Enugu State Government has started a Continuous Survey Revalidation and Digitisation Exercise to create a fully digital, transparent and verifiable land administration system. The programme, part of Governor Peter Mbah’s broader digital transformation agenda, requires landowners, developers and surveyors to submit survey plans and related documents for verification, digital identity creation and geospatial mapping.
Six revalidation centres have been designated across the state, including the Office of the Surveyor General, the Enugu State Housing Development Corporation headquarters and the Enugu Geographic Information System headquarters. The government, through a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, urges all property owners to visit a centre promptly so that Digital Land Identity Cards can be issued and property‑rights disputes reduced.
