Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah inaugurates new officials and councils

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has conducted several administrative inaugurations aimed at strengthening state institutions and local governance. The Governor swore in 17 newly elected Local Government Area chairmen and their deputies, instructing them to align their priorities with the state’s development agenda and focus on poverty eradication through community-based data and accessible leadership.

Additionally, Governor Mbah inaugurated the reconstituted Enugu State Civil Service Commission and the governing councils for several educational institutions, including the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu State Polytechnic, Iwollo, and the Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET). He also inaugurated the reconstituted Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Board.

The Governor emphasized that these leadership changes are part of a broader strategy to grow the state’s economy from $4.4 billion to $30 billion. He called for transparency, accountability, and meritocracy within these bodies to ensure the state operates with maximum efficiency.
