Enumclaw community supports family after youth football injury
The Enumclaw community is supporting a local family after 10-year-old Mac Reynolds suffered a neck injury during a Jr. Hornet football game. The incident occurred in the fourth quarter at Pete’s Pool when Reynolds collapsed following an attempted tackle.
While Mac regained limb movement before medical personnel arrived, he was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center due to a potential spine injury. He was discharged on September 13 wearing a neck brace and has been advised not to complete the football season.
A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist the family with the significant financial burden of emergency care and medical costs. As of September 15, the fundraiser has collected over $16,000 toward a $20,000 goal.
