Enve launches Melee v2 racing road bike
Enve has launched the second generation of its Melee road bike, shifting the design focus from the endurance-leaning characteristics of the 2021 original toward a more aggressive racing profile.
Key technical updates include a reduction in the frame's frontal surface area by 7.5% and a weight reduction, with the size 56 frame weighing 791 grams. To improve aerodynamics, Enve claims the complete system is 17 Watts faster at 50 km/h compared to the previous version. This gain is attributed to improvements in the frame, fork, seatpost, handlebar, and aero bottle cages.
The new model features a UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) for compatibility with Fullmount derailleurs and utilizes a new headset with smaller bearings. While the original Melee supported up to 35 mm tires, the v2 is optimized for 31 mm with a maximum clearance of 33 mm. The bike is available in various configurations, with frame kits starting at €5,999.
