Envera launches green jobs project for people with intellectual disabilities
Envera has introduced a new initiative titled ‘Raíces que conectan: inclusión, biodiversidad y economía circular’ to connect biodiversity conservation with labor market integration for people with intellectual disabilities. Supported by the BBVA Futuro de Asset Management solidarity call, the project focuses on social and environmental reconstruction, particularly in areas affected by fires.
The program will provide training for 30 individuals across Málaga, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria. Participants will gain skills in green jobs, gardening, invasive species control, and the circular economy. One specific activity involves collecting invasive species, such as eucalyptus, to repurpose their resin for making artisanal candles.
In addition to practical training, the project will be featured on Radio Terrícola, the entity’s own radio station, to share the daily experiences of the participants.
