Environment Minister clarifies land status in La Hípica
Armando Paíno Henríquez, the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, clarified that there are no land invasions occurring within the Orlando Jorge Mera Park in La Hípica.
The Minister explained that recent complaints in the area actually concern a nearby private property containing a cave. While this private land is not part of a protected area, the presence of the natural cave formation imposes legal restrictions on any interventions or alterations.
The Ministry of Environment has already taken legal action regarding attempts to interfere with the cave area. Henríquez emphasized the need to distinguish between the protected park and the private lot to avoid confusion regarding the reported disputes.
