Environmental agents in Toledo report unpaid wages
The Professional Association of Environmental Agents of Castilla-La Mancha (APAM-CLM) has reported that environmental agents in the province of Toledo have not received payment for on-call shifts worked during June and July 2025.
The administration has attributed the delay to “incidents in the program used by Public Function for payroll management.” APAM-CLM noted that the situation is particularly frustrating as these professionals were active during an “especially intense” wildfire campaign, providing services not only in Castilla-La Mancha but also in Madrid, Castilla y León, and Aragón.
The association also highlighted a “comparative grievance” within the corps, as some agents have received their June payments while others have received nothing for June or July. APAM-CLM warned that this is not an isolated incident, stating that similar issues occurred last year and have since worsened in 2026, suggesting a pattern of deficient management.
