Environmental and eco-tourism projects expand in Mali Sharr and Belsh

In North Macedonia, the Mali Sharr National Park and the organization ‘Pure Promise’ have signed an agreement to implement a large-scale reforestation project. The initiative aims to plant 30,000 new saplings across 12 hectares to restore forest ecosystems within the protected mountain region. The agreement includes a mandatory two-year maintenance period to ensure the survival and healthy development of the new vegetation.

In Albania, the Albanian Development Fund (FSHZH) has awarded a contract worth approximately 2.4 million euros to expand Eco Park Dumrea in Belsh. The project, to be completed within 20 months, focuses on eco-tourism development near Lake Marina. Planned additions include 14 tree houses with a capacity for up to 84 people, a glamping area for 56 to 84 guests, and an adventure park designed to minimize ground intervention and preserve existing greenery.
