Environmental and tourism initiatives launched in Turkey

In Antalya, Lara Barut Collection, TUI, and Aksu Municipality collaborated on a coastal cleanup at Kumköy Beach. The initiative focused on protecting the local ecosystem, specifically the nesting areas of Caretta caretta sea turtles and protected sea lilies. The project aims to preserve the biodiversity of the region, which hosts over 250 plant species.

In Muğla, a new tourism activity has been introduced in the Dalyan district to diversify local offerings. Visitors can now explore the area’s historical rock tombs, the Dalyan Canal, and İztuzu Beach via tethered hot air balloons. Operating at an altitude of approximately 30 meters in compliance with civil aviation instructions, the service aims to promote alternative tourism and showcase the region’s natural and cultural heritage from an aerial perspective.
