Environmental art and literature events scheduled in Italy

Two cultural events focusing on the relationship between humanity and the environment are scheduled for October 31, 2026, in Italy.

In Concordia, Modena, artist Gianni Mantovani will inaugurate his solo exhibition, “La Natura Ci Parla,” at the Palazzo Municipale. The exhibition features paintings inspired by landscapes, flowers, and nature. A recurring motif in the works is the use of red backgrounds to symbolize global warming and accelerated climate change. The event is supported by the Municipality of Concordia and various environmental associations, including WWF Emilia Centrale and Legambiente Modena.

In Legnano, the “Natura Mater” series will host author and forestry expert Cristina Converso at Palazzo Leone da Perego. The session, titled “Environmental Narrative,” will explore the connection between humans and the natural world through literature. The event will also feature a photography exhibition by the Società Italiana di Caccia Fotografica, which depicts the natural world through the four elements, accompanied by a sound installation titled “Semina rerum” by Maurizio Misiano.
