Environmental awareness initiatives launched in Fécamp and Sud-Hérault

Various environmental awareness initiatives are taking place across France. In Fécamp, the Agglomération Fécamp Caux Littoral is hosting an event on October 9, 2026, focused on wetlands. The program includes a presentation on the role of wetlands in biodiversity and water regulation, followed by a guided twilight walk to observe local flora and fauna, specifically amphibians.

In the Sud-Hérault region, the Fête du Sol Vivant is being held from October 3 to 18. Organized by the Réseau Compost Citoyen, the event promotes soil preservation and natural gardening techniques. Activities include the distribution of individual composters, training on bio-waste management, and information sessions regarding plant shredder lending services to reduce waste sent to landfills.
