Environmental education initiatives launched in Brazil
In Brazil, new initiatives are promoting environmental awareness through literature and community engagement. The book ‘ABC do Meio Ambiente’, published by Cortez Editora and written by Dulce Seabra and Sérgio Maciel, uses the alphabet to teach children about ecology. The work covers topics such as biodiversity, composting, the greenhouse effect, and conscious consumption, while emphasizing the importance of the Amazon rainforest and Brazilian biomes.
Additionally, the ‘Vem Passarinhar Paraná’ project will host a free birdwatching event at Parque Lago Jaboti in Apucarana on August 23. Supported by the Clube de Observadores de Aves Norte do Paraná, the event includes guided trails, species identification, and discussions to connect the community with local biodiversity and urban green spaces.
