Environmental education initiatives launched in Brazilian schools

Various educational initiatives in Brazil are focusing on environmental awareness among students. In Quintana, the local government, through the Department of Education and the Municipal Secretariat of the Environment, distributed environmental education booklets to students at EMEF Professora Neide Aparecida Sobreiro Lisboa to promote sustainability and ecological consciousness.

In another initiative, Aliança Energia conducted an educational program titled ‘A visita dos coletores coloridos’ for approximately 65 children at the Escola Municipal Paulo Herôncio de Melo, located near the Acauã Wind Complex. The program used music and interactive games to teach students about selective waste collection and proper disposal. To support ongoing practices, selective waste bins were donated to the school to help students integrate these habits into their daily routines.
