Vaslui Environmental Guard issues 204,000 lei in fines

In Vaslui, the Environmental Guard conducted 71 inspections during September 2026, including 29 planned and 42 unplanned checks. These inspections resulted in 18 sanctions, consisting of 7 warnings and 11 fines totaling 204,000 lei. The agency reported receiving 42 citizen complaints during the month, primarily regarding waste management.

To address local concerns, Vaslui City Hall plans to establish a free waste collection center in the southern part of the municipality, near the Paiu forest area. This facility will allow residents to dispose of construction debris, plastics, furniture, and electronic waste at no cost. The center is intended to serve both the local population and future businesses in the nearby Industrial Park.
