In Chile, the Third Environmental Court ruled that the Municipality of Coyhaique must remediate damage caused by the municipal wastewater treatment plant, which contaminated a local wetland. The court found the municipality failed to manage the plant within its design capacity, constituting a breach of sanitary regulations, and ordered a repair plan within 120 days.
