Environmental Police release 42 rehabilitated animals in Córdoba
Environmental Police, under the Ministry of Justice and Labor, released 42 rehabilitated animals into the Vaquerías Natural Reserve in Valle Hermoso, Córdoba. The group consisted of 41 birds of various species and one gray fox.
The animals were originally rescued from illegal captivity and domestic pet trade. Before their release, they underwent a rigorous process of quarantine, sanitary evaluation, and behavioral rehabilitation at the Tatú Carreta rescue center.
To facilitate scientific monitoring and study adaptation, the birds were fitted with individual alphanumeric rings. This allows researchers and park rangers to identify specific individuals if they are spotted in the wild, providing essential data for species conservation efforts.
