Environmental protection initiatives launched in Hărman and Corbu

Various environmental protection initiatives are taking place in Romania. In Hărman, Eco Civica Center and the ISO Mediu Intercommunity Development Association are organizing a special collection campaign for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) on October 3, 2026. Residents can drop off items like televisions, computers, and small appliances at a central collection point near the Hărman Town Hall. For large appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines, organizers are providing free home pickup services and offering financial incentives for participants.

Separately, the third edition of Corbu Cleanup Day was held at Corbu Beach on October 3. Supported by the Corbu Municipality and partners including ATIEC, Rezident, and ENVIRON, the event mobilized volunteers and organizations to clean the coastline. The initiative aimed to promote community responsibility and environmental conservation through collective action to protect the natural beauty of the Romanian seaside.
