Environmental regulations implemented in Entre Ríos and Jujuy

The Secretary of Environment of Entre Ríos has issued a total prohibition on the burning or incineration of waste at the final disposal site in the municipality of Pronunciamiento. Following a field inspection, the local authority was ordered to ensure the immediate extinction of any active fires and to prevent the spread of smoke.

The municipality has been given 10 business days to implement several measures, including guaranteeing that empty phytosanitary containers no longer enter the site, presenting a Local Integrated Solid Urban Waste Management Plan, and reporting on the management of biopatogenic and hazardous waste. Additionally, the municipality must secure the site to prevent clandestine dumping and unauthorized access.

In Jujuy, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has announced the start of the recreational fishing ban to preserve aquatic biodiversity. The ban prohibits fishing in protected areas and natural reserves, as well as commercial fishing in all provincial waters. The use of harmful substances, explosives, nets, and traps is strictly forbidden, with violators facing sanctions under provincial law.
