Environmental roadmap set for Magallanes as corruption dossier delivered in Colombia

In Chile, the Regional Ministerial Secretary of the Environment for Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica, Gonzalo Rosenfeld Sekulovic, presented the 2025-2026 public account and a roadmap toward 2030. Key developments include the launch of the Service of Biodiversity and Protected Areas (SBAP) on February 1, 2026, which involves the gradual transfer of over 60 officials from CONAF. The regional strategy also includes the development of 12 service regulations and investments in ecosystem baseline research by the University of Magallanes.

In Colombia, Abelardo De la Espriella delivered a dossier titled ‘The Book of Truth’ to Prosecutor Luz Adriana Camargo. The document alleges administrative irregularities and corruption involving approximately 2 trillion pesos, naming entities such as the SAE, the Land and Rural Development Agency, and the Dapre. The delivery took place on the national day of the fight against corruption.
