The Festivalfilosofia consortium has expressed collective grief following the passing of Enzo Bianchi. Bianchi maintained a deep connection with the festival, participating in twenty-one editions since 2002.

He was scheduled to deliver a lecture on September 20 titled ‘Church and Kingdom,’ which would have explored the effects of messianism. Organizers praised his ability to connect contemporary societal urgencies with enduring themes of spirituality and philosophy, noting his mastery in addressing topics ranging from community and work to mercy and justice.
