Pep Guardiola will leave Manchester City after a decade in charge, having won 20 trophies including six Premier League titles and the Champions League. The club confirmed that Italian coach Enzo Maresca, who previously managed Leicester City and Chelsea, has secured a three‑year contract to take over from the summer of 2026 through 2029. The appointment was announced by football reporter Fabrizio Romano, who described the deal as finalised "here we go". Maresca, a former member of Guardiola’s backroom staff, is regarded as a natural successor who knows the City system well.

The change marks the end of Guardiola’s most successful era in English football and sets the stage for a new chapter at one of the Premier League’s dominant clubs.
