EOAC football teams compete for league titles and playoff spots

High school football teams in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference (EOAC) are entering the ninth week of the season with significant playoff and league title implications.

United Local (6-1, 4-0) is positioned to potentially clinch its fourth consecutive EOAC title this Friday with a victory over Wellsville. Despite their dominance, the team faces a difficult path in Div. VI, Region 21, with a low statistical probability of securing a first-round playoff bye.

A critical matchup for playoff positioning occurs between Columbiana (6-2, 3-1 EOAC) and East Palestine (5-3, 3-1 EOAC). Columbiana currently holds the 12th spot in Region 21, while East Palestine looks to leverage recent record-breaking performances to secure a postseason berth.
