EOI Güímar implements practical language learning through Erasmus+

The Official Language School (EOI) of Güímar has implemented a teaching model that emphasizes practical language use through real-world experiences. Under the direction of José Antonio Díaz, the center aims to move beyond traditional textbook learning by incorporating activities such as hiking and international travel to foster active student participation.

To support this approach, the school utilizes the Erasmus+ program for continuous teacher training. This allows educators to adopt new methodologies and digital tools observed in other European centers. The EOI Güímar is noted as the first accredited Erasmus+ language school in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the 2021-2027 period and currently leads the Canary Islands in the number of mobilities.
