EOPAE employees protest transfer of addiction treatment staff
The Employees' Association of EOPAE has issued a public protest against recent management decisions regarding the transfer of therapeutic personnel. The association is specifically calling for the immediate reversal of the decision to transfer Panagiotis Vellios, a staff member who has worked with KETHEA therapeutic communities and counseling centers within the Korydallos prison system.
Employees argue that these sudden transfers, which they claim lack documentation or prior notification, threaten to disrupt the therapeutic progress of inmates struggling with addiction. The association expressed concern that such moves could lead to the serious destabilization of patients' recovery processes. In addition to Mr. Vellios, the group highlighted the transfer of another individual who served as a coordinator for three reintegration hostels.
